文章日期:2017年11月 Hong Kong has always tried to showcase another side to the city and there is a growing interest in promoting art both locally and internationally.

Art is subjective and different styles and forms appeal to a diverse cross section of people. This year, the show hosted over eighty galleries from across the world and fifty of the artists were in attendance.

Clearly, there was sufficient interest in the event and the items on display, as attendance figures placed around 12,800 collectors and art lovers coming to the Conrad Hotel and purchasing about HK$26,000,000 in art.

In addition to the artists who exhibited from around the world, there was plenty of local Hong Kong talent on show as well. One such artist was TK Chan who co-founded BLINK Gallery in Hong Kong:

TK Chan, Asia Contemporary Art Show

"I love animals and nowadays it is a hot topic to talk about adoption and also caring about animals. So for my paintings, I used Chinese ink to draw animals in different ways. As for the traditional Chinese ink paintings, you can see the animal is very different to my version. I focus on the movement of the ink so even though they look really simple, within one stroke, you can see many colours within that one stroke. In my paintings, I want to carry the message that you feel warmth and happiness when you see art work."
