Titled “With Love and Gratitude”, this collection centres on the theme of thankfulness, portraying Hong Kong’s common rescue animals offering roses to the public to show their gratitude. The rose symbolises love and passion, with each colour carrying its own meaning. In this collection, different-coloured roses are paired with various animals, inviting you to step into the role of a rescuer and feel the gratitude of once-abandoned creatures. With her delicate brushwork and healing aesthetic, Chan transforms this heavy social issue into hopeful and emotional imagery. Each piece not only captures the innocence of these animals but also calls for more compassion in our world.

 

While pet ownership in Hong Kong continues to grow, so do the distressing cases of abandonment and cruelty. As a pet owner herself, Chan expresses deep concern over these trends. “Every life deserves equal care,” she affirms. This belief and her love for animals inspired her to create this series, aiming to raise awareness through art and encourage pet adoption where possible.

 

This collection further showcases Chan’s experimental approach to materials. By mixing fine sand into the paints, she achieves a textured surface that mimics the animal’s fluffy fur, while layered brushstrokes give the roses an elegant three-dimensional presence. This technique not only created a captivating visual depth but also a sensory experience. Additionally, each background pays homage to Chan’s iconic “Sky” series, using her signature cloud-wash method to evoke a dreamy, poetic atmosphere.

這組充滿溫度的作品以“感恩”為主題，通過藝術家的溫馨視角，描繪了一幅幅香港待領養動物向大眾獻上玫瑰的“感恩”畫面。 玫瑰的花語是愛與熱情，而不同顏色的玫瑰有不同的花語寓意。這次的作品以不同顏色的玫瑰搭配不同動物，並邀請大眾以救助者的視角，感受曾被棄養動物的感恩之心。藝術家陳紫君以標誌性的細膩筆觸和治癒系風格，將這一沉重的社會議題化為充滿希望的畫面。每一幅作品都富含情緒，即展現了動物們的純真情感，也暗含着對人性溫暖的呼喚。

近年來，香港的寵物飼養數字不斷攀升，但令人心痛的是，棄養和虐待動物的案例也隨之增加。作為動物愛好者，陳紫君對這些現象深感憂慮。她認為每一個生命都應該被平等對待，正是這份對小動物的熱愛，促使她創作出這一系列“感恩”作品，試圖以藝術的力量喚起社會的關注，並鼓勵人們在自身能力範圍內領養動物。

這次的作品在技法上展現了藝術家在材料上的新嘗試。通過把細沙混合顏料，畫面栩栩如生地呈現動物蓬鬆的毛髮質感；並再利用顏料的堆疊，繪製玫瑰花瓣的優雅立體型態。這種富肌理感的表現手法，不僅增強了畫面的觸覺感染力，更創造出有趣的視覺層次。另外，每幅作品的背景都延續了陳紫君代表作《極光啟示》系列的標誌風格，運用細膩的雲塗法，營造夢幻詩意的氛圍。
